Fassi Hook Safety Clip/Latch - GA103

A hook safety catch (or latch) functions to prevent the attached load, such as a sling or rigging gear, from accidentally falling off the hook during operations like hoisting or towing. It achieves this by mechanically closing the hook's opening, but it is not designed to support the actual weight of the load; its primary purpose is to secure loose items under slack conditions and prevent casualties or equipment damage from falling loads.
