The main function of a hydraulic return filter is to remove contaminants from the hydraulic fluid before it returns to the reservoir, thereby protecting hydraulic components from wear and damage and maintaining the system's efficiency and performance. By ensuring clean fluid returns to the reservoir, it prevents impurities from re-entering the system through the pump's suction lines, safeguarding the entire hydraulic circuit.
